Cairo - MENA
Egypt's Mufti Dr Shawqi Allam said Thursday that the international fatwa conference, which will be held in Cairo on October 17, will launch five initiatives to support the role of fatwa in establishing and stabilizing societies.
In a statement by Allam to MENA, Allam announced that an electronic platform was launched in different languages to facilitate communication among Muslims worldwide.
The electronic platform will include a group of audio and video lectures, training programs, educational, cultural and behavioral courses, in addition to sermons and films which present the moderate Islam, Allam noted.
He warned also against the odd fatwas which threaten societies, adding that the conference will deal with this issue to eliminate it.
