Iraqi joint forces

Iraqi joint forces managed to achieve notable advance during the current operations to liberate the right bank of the Iraqi city Mousl, as they reached to the point near the governmental complex of the city. Leader of "We Are Coming Nineveh" Abdel Amir Yar Allah stressed the success of the Iraqi troops to achieve their objectives in the framework of the third phase of military operations.

According to a statement, the Iraqi forces managed to achieve notable advance towards their objectives to liberate Mousl's right bank in cooperation with the Iraqi air forces and International Coalition. It added that the federal police succeeded to liberate Mousl Airport, saying that they work currently to inspect the liberated areas.

It added, "The Iraqi forces managed to destroy bombing wheels and to explode explosive belts and over 20 explosive devices. They seized a large amounts of weapons and equipment and killed a large number of militants loyal to the extremist group and arrested a foreign militant."

The statement added that the Ninth Armored Division related to the Iraqi army managed to advance towards the districts of Tarab and Tel Roman. It added that they also controlled the power station, saying that they managed to destroy 15 bombing wheels and two trucks carrying extremists. They also killed a large number of militants and bombed 57 explosives.

Anti extremism troops, on their hand, resumed their advance, as they succeeded to fully liberate Ghozlani Camp. They resumed advance in Mamoun district cleansing 50 percent of its areas from the extremist militias. They destroyed six bombing wheels and two motorcycles in addition to 65 explosive devices. They also killed a number of terroristsand dropped two drones.

In the same context, Popular Mobilization Forces liberated the villages of Masayed and Tel Zalat destroying two bombing wheels and bombing 20 explosive devices. They also killed a large number of extremists loyal to the extremist group.

The statement praised the role of Iraqi air forces as they covered the advance of the ground troops. It added that they killed a large number of militants and destroyed 13 trucks carrying extremists.

Security official Mohamed Abdel Amir said that the Iraqi troops managed to reach to Ban Al Toob, only one kilometre away from the city's governmental complex. He added the governmental control of the complex will accelerate the destruction of the extremist group in the second Iraqi largest city.
