Moroccan legislators are concerned about 'Iranian infiltration'

Moroccan legislators are concerned about \'Iranian infiltration\' The Shiite Muslim growth in Africa has dominated recent Moroccan foreign affairs committee meetings, where some Moroccan parliamentarians warned of “Iranian Shiite penetration in Senegal.” Member of the Moroccan Socialist Union Party Mohamed Amer said that “the Shiite penetration is happening through important Iranian economical projects.”
Amer suggested that the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs create strong cultural projects to face the Iranian infiltration.
The same concerns where expressed by the head of the Moroccan Foreign Affairs Committee Ali Kbiry, who said that “the Iranian Shiite expansion is being done directly by Belgium Africans,” calling on other gulf countries to stop the Shiite spread into Africa.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Saad El Din Al Osmany Bintamy stated that this is a real danger for Africa and that “a big intellectual religious project” is needed, adding that the government is coordinating on the issue.
