Syrian Observatory for Human Rights

The areas under ISIS control witness, in eastern countryside of Aleppo, witnessed intensive shelling artillery shells and air strikes by regime forces, backed by the Russian forces. While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) documented a rise in the numbers of deaths in the ranks of ISIS organization to reach 26 killed, over the past 24 hours.

While the citizens of Aleppo are still waiting for pumping water to the city after about eight weeks of its cutting off by ISIS, in the eastern countryside of Aleppo of about a million and a half million persons in Aleppo city, the second largest Syrian cities, leaving hundreds of thousands of children and citizen women and civilians suffering thirst. However, with the first attempt to escape the raids of the regime; the ISIS organization prevented the people from leaving by gun power.

SOHR learned that the regime forces supported by elite forces of the Lebanese Hezbollah and Russian artillery battalions had not been able until this moment to fully control the al-Jarrah airbase, although they were able to control it by firearms, they have entered parts of it and carried out operations of inspection and mines dismantling, after the withdrawal of most of members of the “Islamic State” organization out of the airbase.

In a related context, SOHR was aware that at least 17 members of the ISIS -including a Moroccan commander- were killed today in the intensive raids by Russian warplanes and the violent missile bombardment by the regime forces and Russian artillery on places in the area of Maskanah and its surroundings in the areas that are still under the control of the organization, which is witnessing consecutive collapse in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

The regime forces shelled this morning intensely (by artillery shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground) areas in Teshreen neighborhood and the area around Qaboun neighborhood on the outskirts of the capital, no information about injuries reported.

 The regime forces also shelled areas in Yarmouk refugee camp south of the capital, no information about casualties, while the clashes violently renewed between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic Factions in the eastern orchards of the capital, amid exchange of shelling between both parties, which damaged vehicles of both parties, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of both parties.

In the same context, the regime forces shelled after midnight yesterday areas in the town of Eis in the southern countryside of Aleppo, accompanied by a raid by warplanes on areas in Kafrkar village in the southern countryside of Aleppo, no information about injuries.

Clashes took place between the regime forces  and Islamic Factions in the vicinity of Hodr town, in the northern countryside of Al-Quneitra, amid exchange of shelling between both parties, also the factions targeted places in Tall Bzaq in the northern countryside of Al-Quneitra, which caused material damage, no information about casualties in the ranks from the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.


The regime forces shelled after midnight yesterday areas in Talbiseh city and the areas of Burj Qa’ei and Ghernata in the northern countryside of Homs causing material damage, while warplanes carried out intensive raids targeted areas in the vicinity of Palmyra Silos in the eastern desert of the city and other places in Sukhna area and in the area around the oilfields in the eastern countryside of Homs, amid renewed clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization in areas in the vicinity of oil and gas fields and other areas Palmyra desert and on the Sukhna road.

The regime forces launched 2 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground on areas in Daraa al-Balad in the city of Daraa, causing material damage in the property of the citizens, no information about casualties reported. While the clashes renewed between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic Factions in areas at Manshiya neighborhood in the city of Daraa, also the regime forces opened fire of machineguns on areas in Yadodeh town northwestern of Daraa city.

On the other hand, two children were killed and two others were injured, when an unexploded rocket exploded at the outskirts of Jisr al-Shughur city near the National Hospital, while a fighter of Khan Shaykhun, was killed in targeting by the regime forces in the northern countryside of Hama.

Warplanes bombed after midnight yesterday places in Aydoun village in the southeastern countryside of Hama, accompanied by opening fire of heavy machineguns by the regime forces on the same places, also warplanes carried out raids on areas in Uqayribat township in the eastern countryside of Hama, causing material damage.
