Aden - Abdel Ghani Yahia
Leadership of Arab Coalition announced that Saudi Royal Air Defense managed to intercept a missile launched by the Houthi militias in Yemen against Saudi Khamis Mushait city. The coalition issued a statement stressing that the missile has been intercepted and destroyed without any damages
According to the statement, the Arab Coalition launched raids targeting the sites of launch in the Yemeni territories. Yemeni military sources revealed that a military leader, called Hussein Farhan Al Dawlah, loyal to Yemen’s former President Ali Abdullah Saleh was killed during the coalition’s raids near the Saudi-Yemeni borders.
The sources stressed that the killing of Dawlah is a strong slap for Houthi militias and Saleh’s forces, as he was one of the most efficient leaders. He took the responsibility of the insurgents’ special forces leadership after the killing of their former leader Mahmoud Al Malsi during a similar raid in September 2016 on the borders area.
In the same context, over 20 Houthi militants have been killed during a raid launched by the Arab Coalition against the Houthi strongholds in the coastal city of Khokha. Sources revealed that Saudi patriot system intercepted two ballistic missiles launched by Houthis against Saudi southern city of Abha, as the Houthi militias escalate their attack on the borders with Saudi during the recent period.
