Syrian military fighter jets launched air raids on a number of districts near the Syrian capital of Damascus, including Jober, Teshreen and Qabon, coinciding with artillery and missile attacks against the strongholds of Syrian opposition in the same districts. The opposition parties managed to destroy a building in which elements of government forces are holed up.
According to security sources, the governmental troops bombarded areas in Resten city of Homos’ northern countryside with no information about injuries. Areas of Palmyra witnessed similar bombardment with no information about humanitarian losses. The Syrian troops intensively bombarded areas near the oil fields of Shaer and Gazel of Homos’ eastern countryside with no information about humanitarian losses.
Fighter jets raided areas near Tefoor Airport and Hoises area in addition to Teba town of Homos’ eastern countryside. The raids coincided with clashes between the governmental troops on one hand and ISIS extremists on the other hand, leading to a number of deaths and injuries.
In Damascus, clashes erupted between ISIS militants and Syrian governmental troops in the surrounding area of Yarmook Camp in the southern side of the Syrian capital. The clashes continued between the governmental troops and Islamist factions in the villages of Hussieneiya and Bassima, as the fighter jets intensified their attacks on the areas of clashes.
In the same context, the battels continued in Damascus’ districts of Basateen and Qabon between the Islamist factions and governmental troops, as the governmental troops managed to achieve notable advance. They isolated Barza district from the other districts of Qabon and Teshreen. They also seized weapons stores possessed by the extremist groups in Barza district.
The governmental troops raided areas near Aqrab village of Hama’s southern countryside with no information about humanitarian losses, as the Syrian fighter jets raided a number of areas in Hama’s northern countryside leading to a number of injuries. In the same context, clashes continued between the governmental troops and ISIS extremist militants at Maqaber area of Deir Al Zour, and in the surrounding area of Deir Al Zour military airport.
The clashes led to the killing of dozens of people from the two sides. The clashes also continue in Mansheya district of Daraa city since early Monday between the Islamist factions and the governmental troops, as the governmental troops bombarded the strongholds of the extremist groups in the framework of their attempts to achieve advance
