H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, U.A.E. Foreign Minister, on Monday in Paris met with Laurent Fabius, Foreign Minister of France.
During their meeting, the two sides discussed the excellent strategic relations between the two countries and ways of developing and enhancing them in light of the ties of friendship between them.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of interest for the two countries, and the overall developments.
In this respect, they stressed the common view of the two countries for the continuation of consultation and coordination to confront different challenges so as to ensure the establishment and preservation of the security and peace of the regional countries.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed hailed the strong and solid relations between U.A.E. and France, and noted that the views of both countries on a number of regional and international issues and matters are identical.
In this respect, the two sides confirmed the continuation of strengthening these relations in different spheres, in the cultural, social, educational, economic and energy spheres in particular, towards achieving the ambitions and aspirations of the two friendly countries and their peoples.
On his part, the French foreign minister welcomed H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and noted that France maintains excellent and growing relations with U.A.E. in all spheres.
He also noted the regional and international stature of U.A.E. and the achievements it has made in all spheres.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed also met with Mohammed al-Dairi, Foreign Minister of Libya.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the standing relations between U.A.E. and Libya and the importance of developing them in the service of the common interests of the tow sisterly countries and their peoples.
They also reviewed the overall regional and international developments, in particular the political and security developments in Libya and the efforts being made by the Libyan Government for spreading security and stability.
They also exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest.
