US-led coalition destroys center for ISIS leadership west of Mosul

ISIS organization launched a surprise attack on popular mobilization forces in Tal Afar town, west of Mosul, for the third time in this region within 48 hours. Meanwhile, US-led coalition said that its warplanes destroyed a building in the main medical complex west of Mosul, which includes a command center of ISIS organization.

The Iraqi commander of special forces Samy al-Ardy, said that the liberalization process of the right side of Mosul will be launched this week.

Iraqi Prime Minister, al-Abadi, stressed, during a meeting with military leaders at the Joint Special Operations Command headquarters, the battle with ISIS organization will end very soon.

A military source said that the battle will be tough because there is a local's refusal for the participation of the popular mobilization in the fighting, as well as the presence of senior ISIS leaders in the city, revealing that the battle will not be resolved without the intervention of the international coalition.

On the sidelines of the security conference in Munich, the Iraqi prime minister held a series of meetings with a number of participants in the conference to seek support for Iraq as it faces the elements of extremist organization.

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, held a meeting, in Munich today, to discuss the bilateral relation and the results of liberalization of Nineveh, as well as  the reformist program for the Iraqi government and issues of common interest in the region.

Merkel stressed her country's commitment to the unity of Iraq and the ongoing support of Germany both directly and through NATO will expand in the field of military support, praising the cleanliness of the battle and respect for human rights and the protection of civilians by Iraqi forces, statement of Abadi Office said.
