Sami bin Bashir was born on May 6, 1975 in the city of Djerba. He lived in a neighborhood of the Bourguiba house in the state of Bizerte. He lived in the area of ​​Ariana in Tunis. He was arrested by the political police on 11 October 2003. The Court of Appeal of Tunisia sentenced him for four years imprisonment and 5 years administrative control.

Sami Boras traveled to Libya in November 2006, and to Italy in July 2007. In August 2007, he moved to Marseille in France and then moved to Sweden in January 2008. In June 2008, the Immigration Department was asked to normalize its status and enable it to resort to political asylum.
