Yemen attacks

A leading member of Houth militias called Essam Maihob was killed with four of his colleagues, as they have been targeted with the artillery of Yemeni army of Hameer Front of Maqbana in the western side of Taiz. Meanwhile, the Yemeni army managed to achieve notable advance in the northern side of Yemen’s strategic city of Mokha, as they cleansed the districts of Zahari and Rewis.

Arab Coalition’s fighter jets launched a number of air raids targeting the strongholds of Houthi militias in Mokha crossroad, destroying an armored vehicle. They also killed 28 militants at Hega governorate. According to local sources, over 20 Houthi militants have been killed during air raids launched by the Arab Coalition against their strongholds in Ebes directorate.

Clashes have continued between the Yemeni army of internationally-recognized President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi supported by Arab Coalition’s fighter jets on one hand and Houthi militias and forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh on the other hand. The Yemeni army announced that Arhab Directorate, near International Sana’a Airport, became under its control after the notable progress it achieved during the recent two days.

Yemeni military leader Mohamed Al Ashwal revealed that Beit Katish village of Arhab directorate became under the control of the Yemeni army, adding that the army and popular resistance loyal to the legitimate government controlled large swaths of Daboaa area. Arab Coalition’s fighter jets bombarded the strongholds of Houthi militias in the districts of Ashara and Mahali in addition to other sites of Naham Directorate.

On the political side, Russian Foreign Ministry expressed its deep concern over the plans adopted by the Arab Coalition to storm Hadida Port, as they would prevent the delivery of humanitarian aids to the Yemeni capital. The ministry stressed that such plans could lead to the displacement of more residents, saying that such chaos will serve the interests of extremist groups of ISIS and Qaeda.

It blamed the western powers saying that they do not care of the increasing crises witnessed in Yemen, as they focus only on the Syrian crisis. It added, “We call for suspending all military actions in Yemen, as we believe that the Yemeni crisis will not be resolved with the military solution.”
