Al-Nassr manager José Daniel Carreño wants to improve his defence
Sources in Bahrain have said that Saudi football club al-Nassr has opened talks with Bahraini national team captain Mohammed Hussain.
The 32-year centre-back, known as 'the rock' is
currently plying his trade at al-Refaa in Bahrain, and has been identified by al-Nassr as a replacement for outgoing Uzbek defender Shawkat Moldiganov.
Sources added that Hussain is on his way to Riyadh for talks with al-Nassr officials about a potential move. Hussien has not trained with al-Refaa since the end of the Gulf Cup on January 18. The Bahraini club's coach Khaled el-Naeimi told the media that the defender is ill, but it is believed that he has been involved in secret negotiations with al-Nassr officials.
Al-Nassr manager José Daniel Carreño is keen to improve the Saudi club's defence after a poor start to the new league season.
