Iraqi artist Naseer Shamma was a guest in a concert held by the Association for Media Development in Iraq at Alawiya Club, on Tuesday evening, amid a distinguished presence. Shamma is UNESCO's ambassador to peace and was the centerpiece of his talk about love, peace and non-violence.
The journalist Hassan Abdel Hamid began the evening by talking about the excellence of Nasir Shamma, praising the ceremony he held at the Olympique Theater in Paris, which is considered one of the best concerts on stage in 20 years.
Shamma started talking about belonging to his homeland, Iraq, the affiliation that remained present in his mind and his art in various countries of the world, pointing out that since he left Iraq in 1993 until today.

He also pointed to the role of the artist in society and what can provide a bright picture of his community to the world. Shamma did not forget the suffering of the Iraqi people from the wars and extremism, and the aftermath of this stage of tragedies. We should not deal with people on the basis of religious or sectarian affiliation, but what concerns us is the human and its value and impact around him, he pointed out.
 
He also stressed that the success of any ceremony in any country was not a personal concern as much as the concern to raise the name of Iraq and the definition of its creators and civilization in various fields. Shamma pointed out that creativity has always stemmed from the suffering that made the Iraqi strong and strong, stressing that they need a new womb in order to learn peace and love.

Shamma noted that Iraq is full of honest people who are willing to work for the reconstruction of the country. At the end of the evening, a number of participants spoke of the depth of their love and pride for what Naseer Shamma presented and seeks to present, expressing their readiness to cooperate with him and support him to achieve the best for Iraq. A number of artists and attendees also presented souvenirs to the Iraqi artist to express their pride and appreciation.
