Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Fryad Rwandzi

Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Fryad Rwandzi received in his office the cast of “Rooster’s tale” play that participated in International Festival of Child Theatre which was held in Om El Ara’es town, and the Arab Festival recently held in Tunisia. He praised them for winning four international and Arab Awards in these festivals and wished them more improvement children theatre.

Head of Iraqi Culture Center for Childhood and Puppets, Hussein Ali Haref thanked Rwandzi for his continuous support for the play cast and his hospitality towards them and their success. He also praised the role of the Culture Ministry of supporting them by providing all of the team expenses to participate in these festivals outside Iraq.
 
During this meeting, all parties discussed Iraqi theatre plans and some suggestions to develop puppets’ theatre by holding training workshops in Baghdad and learning from other countries’ experiences in this field such as, Egypt and Tunisia. They also discussed the possibility of launching the second session of the Puppet Art Forum which was first held by the Culture Center in “Baghdad, capital of Arab Culture” project in 2013.

“Rooster’s tale” play is written by Hussein Ali Haref, and starring Khaled Ahmed Mustafa, Ammar Ahmed, Eman Al-Kabesi, Nagi Gabary and Ali Jwad.
