Iraqi visual artist Rasool Shaker organized an exhibition in the courtyard of Baghdad’s Cultural Center, as it included a large number of paints that presented the Iraqi cultural heritage. The Iraqi artist used the glass colors on wood, as he depended on mixing the colors in different ways.
He said that some of the paintings have been inspired by his ideas, while the others from the other artists, saying that this art has a big sector of fans. He revealed that he was previously drawing on the glass, while he turned to draw on wood during the recent period.
The Iraqi artist organized a number of exhibitions and bazars previously, as he plans currently to participate in exhibition with a number of other artists in Jordan during the coming period. He also participated in the centenary of Rasheed Street organized in December 2016.
Shaker is one of the Iraqi artists who managed to prove his talent in this kind of art. He graduated from the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, while he expressed his love to the drawing on both glass and wood.
He said, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that it is not the first time for him to participate in exhibitions in Baghdad, saying that he presented a new image of this art as he used the glass colors in the drawing on wood
