Villagers have inaugurated a new heritage museum in Hadramout, east Yemen to mark the first heritage festival for Eid al-Adha.
A group of young Yemenis the festival with the support of local authorities and was inaugurated by the chairman of the Yemeni scientists association, Hashim Abdulkader El-Habashy.
The displays many historical items: hunting weapons, home wear, coins, photographs, farm tools, ceramic and a lot more.
The village was welcomed by the Seiyun locals; many governorates welcomed the initiative to show the new generations the Yemeni heritage.
The festival will last six days and will include folkloric dances, talks and games. Women will be able to visit the museum on only two given days.
In a related context, the seventh Yemeni entertainment and heritage festival launched on the second day of Eid al-Adha in the Hadramout Valley.
