Cairo – Islam Khairy
Director, Raouf Abdel Aziz finished most of his new series ”Energy of light” scenes, starring Hany Salama, who plays the role of “Leyl”, an assassin hired by important businessmen, which made people think that, this series is based on Mohsen El Sokari, who murdered Suzanne Tamim on orders from Hisham Talaat Mustafa. The makers of “Energy of light” told “Arab Today” about the backstage scenes and Hany’s looks, while writer, Hassan Dahshan denied any links between his show and Mohsen El Sokari character or Hisham Talaat, and all the characters are fictional. He chose the assassin role because of the increasing violence in the society, and people no longer wait for laws and apply them on their owns, so he uses his series to highlight this issue. He added that Hany Salama only appears wearing suits to interact with businessmen without raising any suspicions. He chose this title “Energy of light” to show the transformation in Hany’s character, confirming that Hany exerted a lot of efforts in this character including practicing Aikido, which is the art of smashing bones. On the other hand, Raouf Abdel Aziz faced a lot of difficulties in shooting, especially because most of scenes are abroad and there are a lot of action scenes, confirming that the series is unusual and presents the society’s suffering from moral degradation among all classes, not only the poor. He added that the title of series is final and everyone likes it. He expressed his happiness to work as a director and director of Photography at the same time, which never happens before in a series, adding that he doesn’t have any problem with that, because he is aiming to present different type of artistic work. The series is starring, Hani Salama, Salah Abdullah, Hanan Mutawa, Ahmad Halawa, Mays Hamdan, Walid Fawaz, Ehab Fahmy, Ayda Riad, Ashraf Abdul Ghafoor, Safaa Jalal, Hadi Karam, Mohammed Abu Al Wafa, Nidal Najem, Hamza Al Ali and Jihan Khalil, written by, Hassan Dahshan, and directed by, Raouf Abdel Aziz.
