Ahmed Ezz

Ahmed Ezz Cairo – Shaimaa Mekawy Egyptian star Ahmed Ezz has said that this year will see a radical change in the roles he plays. He told Arabstoday that he is to start a new  project with director Sandra Nashaat, also starring Ahmed Al-Saka. The actor denied reports of an ego-clash with is co-star over equal billing on the movie\'s poster, saying Al-Saka had requested to put both names in the same font.
His other project is to be directed by Amr Arafa\'s debut TV series.
\"There will be a radical change in my roles as I have two movies this year, one in the summer and the other one by Eid Al-Adha,\" said Ezz.
\"The first film is titled “Al-Maslaha” where I play the role of a drug dealer. I have worked with its director Sandra Nashaat before in \'Malaky Iskandria\' and \'Al-Rahina\'. This movie took a lot of effort as I already played a drug dealer in \'Badl Fakd\'\' three years ago,\" said the actor.
\"In the beginning I apologised for not doing “Al-Maslaha” until Sandra convinced me by changing the character,\" he said.
\"Al-Saka is the super-star of this generation because of his wisdom and attitude.
In “Helm Aziz” and directed by Amr Arafa, Ezz plays the role of a villain, where he says he\'s inspired by late actor Estefan Rosty.
\"I play the  role of a man who wants to achieve his dreams through bribes and women, to becoming the most powerful man who  can control the Egyptian economy. This movie tells the story of the ex-steel tycoon and the ex-leader in the NDP, who is currently  in prison,\" said the actor.
Ezz said: “I wish to play the role of Gamal Abdul Nasser’s son in law, Ashraf Marwan, who passed away mysteriously in London a few years ago.\"
“Despite the rejection of the authorities, I’m thinking of playing this role from a broad point of view.\"
The star also has a new TV series called “Taalab Sinaa” from the Egyptian GIS files lined up.
\"We will start filming next October after the cast is chosen and it will be directed by Amr Arafa,” Ezz said.
”It deals with one of the officers who went to Sinai in the war with Israel aiming to protect and recruit the Bedouins against Israel,” he added.
Ezz said to Arabstoday that soon he will get married without mentioning anything about the bride. He said he wants to settle down as it was his late mother\'s last wish.
