Alexander Wang Fall-Winter 2012 collection

Alexander Wang Fall-Winter 2012 collection Alexander Wang was one of the hottest talents in New York fashion, delighted a giddy crowd of fans in cavernous Pier 94 on the Hudson River with a futuristic collection dominated by glossy coats and jackets.
The clothes were more straightforward than Mr Wang has offered recently. The vibe he embraces often limits his appeal to the cool-girl, Downtown model types. This time, the military-inspired trenchcoats, wool sweaters and tweed jackets potentially work for anyone who needs an outfit for a dressy event or even for the office. Wang had his models, including show-closer Gisele Bundchen in a long black leather coat slit seductively down the side, weave their way around the mirrors and then stand rigid before their reflections.
"I'm really lucky this season," said Wang backstage.
His show was a breakthrough: a collection with all the distinctions of proper, strong, and innovative design on a level of maturity which had the audience craning forward, engaged and curious from first look to last.
