The Swiss luxury brand has reportedly signed up this year's ANDAM winner, AMI designer Alexandre Mattiussi, for an upcoming capsule collection. According to reports published in WWD, Mattiussi is set to design both men's and
women's ready-to-wear collections for Bally.
The menswear could be unveiled at this January's men's fashion week in Milan, with the women's line appearing in February.
Bally's creative directors Graeme Fidler and Michael Herz resigned their positions at the brand earlier this year, showing their final Spring 2014 collection this fall, and there has been no news yet on replacement designers.
Bally are currently not commenting on the speculation, but excitement is already building at the prospect of Mattiussi's first womenswear offering (his AMI label remains a boys-only zone, for now).
His ANDAM prize, which was awarded this June, gave Mattiussi €250,000 to support his brand, as well as special business mentoring from Diesel and Only The Brave boss Renzo Rosso. He has also recently launched a Wes Anderson-inspired eveningwear capsule collection exclusive to Mr Porter.
