Burberry returned its menswear show to London

Burberry returned its menswear show to London After 20 years of runway shows in Paris, the Italian brand will be returning to its Milanese roots. This September Costume National will show its Spring-Summer 2014 designs in Milan according to the brand\'s founder and creative head Ennio Capasa.
The designer is joining a recent trend which sees brands fleeing foreign shores to show back in their home cities. Last season Burberry returned its menswear show to London, while Jimmy Choo also moved its men\'s presentations back to the UK this year.
Calling the move a gesture of \"solidarity\" with Italian fashion, Capasa is promising that the show will take place in an \"unusual\" and previously unused location in Milan.
Currently a number of Italian labels including Valentino and Miu Miu hold their presentations in Paris. \"This is not about Italians showing in Italy and the French showing in France,\" Capasa told WWD. And he was keen to stress that it wasn\'t a competition - \"all the world\'s fashion capitals need to be strong together. The fashion community is strong when we all are. I don\'t believe that Milan needs to surpass Paris or vice versa.\"
