Stunning new store in Rome
Emilio Pucci has opened a new boutique in Rome. Previously located in via Borgognona, the new, larger store in the upscale location of Piazza di Spagna expands the brand’s presence
in the Italian market.
The boutique extends on two floors for a total surface area of approximately 150 sq mt and will carry a full product assortment: ready-to-wear, small leather goods, accessories, scarves, eyewear and shoes.
The concept of the store, created by Architect Joesph Dirand, unveils a universe inspired by the Renaissance allure and luxury of Palazzo Pucci, the Maison’s headquarters in Florence, yet also boldly redraws it with the signature exuberance, sensuality and modernity of the Pucci collections.
A large, glass entryway welcomes clients into a space defined by marmorino walls. Soft cream and light grey boiserie inspired by the Italian stone, Pietra Serena are juxtaposed with distinctive, purple-veined Breccia dei Medici marble on the display units, evoking nobility and splendor. The finishings are flawless, evidenced by brass-trimmed moldings and counter tops covered in grey linen.
In the fitting rooms, pink velvet walls and a purple satin carpet create a privé, couture boudoir atmosphere.
The ground floor is distinguished by an abstract 3D interpretation of Pucci’s 1966 maze-like Torre print, recreated in two-tone crushed marble Terrazzo flooring inlaid with the Emilio signature in bronze. Acting as a trait d’union to the second floor, a travertine marble staircase, adorned with niches and shelves, leads to a hushed oasis where grey carpeting and a large sofa in pink silk velvet run counterpoint to sleek glass cases and counters.
Alessandra Carra, Emilio Pucci President and Chief Executive Officer, says: \"This store represents a milestone for us: Emilio Pucci is a premiere Italian luxury brand and the new location perfectly embodies the brand’s spirit and values. We have boutiques in Milan, Florence, Portofino and Rome. This new flagship in Piazza di Spagna marks a very important achievement for the business and image of the brand. In July, we simultaneously opened four boutiques: besides the store in Rome, three are in new Emilio Pucci markets: Moscow Barvikha in Russia, New Delhi in India and Jakarta in Indonesia, raising the number of monobrand stores to 53 worlwide”.
“We are happy to have a window on the world in Piazza di Spagna, the legendary destination of international tourism” asserts Laudomia Pucci, Emilio Pucci Deputy Chairman and Image Director.
Peter Dundas, Emilio Pucci Creative Director, adds: “I am happy and proud that the Pucci girl now has her own home in Rome. The boutique is her world and I hope it will be the same for the women of the city”.
