Ford announced the birth of Alexander John Buckley Ford back in October 2012 Renowned designer Tom Ford has revealed that he does everything for his, including changing his nappies. In a recent interview with US Vogue, he said : "I feed him in the morning, I change his diaper, I dress him, I play with him, and I have good two or three hours before I go to the office - just me and Jack," he said, referring to the baby by his nickname.
"He has a very long, fancy name - but I call him Jack," he explained.
The designer, famed for his well-tailored suits, announced the surprise addition to his family - son Alexander John Buckley Ford - back in October 2012.
The revelation is likely to silence many critics, who assumed that Ford would have an army of nannies on call to look after his son.
"I didn't have a child because I wanted to hand him off to somebody," he said. "I had a child because I've always wanted a child."
The designer also revealed about his second big "production" of 2013 - his return to the international fashion week schedule. Ford held his first catwalk show since 2004 last month in London.
"There was a bit of street in there that I liked, but urban and pumped-up. Someone I dress a lot and who I admire and adore is Rihanna, and thinking about a lot of looks I was like: 'Would Rihanna wear this? Would Rihanna wear this?' It was interesting because I hadn't done a runway collection in a really long time and it makes you think in a completely different way," said Ford.
