New York Fashion Week Lacoste, the venerable crocodile-logo French tennis brand, broadened its sporting range during New York Fashion Week for Fall Winter 2012/2013, with a collection inspired by its 1966 contract to outfit the national ski team.

From the ski-boot style leather platform boots to the tight fitting, salopette-reminiscent panelled leggings or the pencil-quilted leather jackets, the look was sleek and close fitting. There were several thigh-skimming mini-skirts with eye-catchingly positioned zips and decoratively high collars that were strictly apres-ski only, and plenty of more forgivingly cut, long ribbed knit jersey dresses, or Lacoste-logo jumpers and clean, white leather dresses.
