Coco Chanel by Marion Pike

Coco Chanel by Marion Pike Fashionistas have always admired the feisty, extremely talented French fashion designer Coco Chanel for her pivotal role in liberating the conservative 19th century women from the painful tight-fit clutches of corsets.
To take that admiration a step ahead, the esteemed London College of Fashion is prepping up to organise an exhibition to honour the late design expert, who revolutionised the international fashion industry with her avant-garde creations.
Dedicated to the legendary founder of the Paris-based fashion house, the exhibit will include a mixed collection of Chanel-designed haute couture creations and a series of portraits, drawn by Chanel’s friend and celebrity portrait artist Marion Pike.
Curated by Pike’s daughter Jeffie, the event titled as Coco Chanel: A New Portrait by Marion Pike, Paris 1967-71, is scheduled to be organised from September 5 to November 16 at the Fashion Space Gallery, 20 John Princes Street, London, W1G 0BJ.
