London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen who designed the wedding dress Kate Middleton wore for her marriage to Britain's Prince William last April, notched up the drama at her show in a former post sorting office in central London during London Fashion Week.
The designer took her cue from military uniforms but didn’t forget the elegant overblown ball gowns. she send the girls in khaki belted coats with metal buttons and large pockets down a catwalk carpeted with autumnal brown leaves before revealing more glamorous, playful dresses featuring rainbow colors on layered black tulle. Dressed in a belted ivory floor-length tulle gown with decorated appliquéd velvet flowers, model Kristen McMenamy found herself bathed in white light as she looked up to the ceiling from where crisp leaves floated down around
Together, the staging, that irreverent military parade, the hair (on the women, a hugely horizontal roll), the leaves and the front row, Salma Hayek, wife of Alexander McQueen's ultimate owner François-Henri Pinault, sat just down from Samantha Cameron and Anna Wintour, made for fun addition to the London Fashion Week roster.
