The Eyes To Kill Solo collection from Giorgio Armani

The Eyes To Kill Solo collection from Giorgio Armani After exploring subtle nude shades in its Spring 2014 makeup collection, the Italian design house is striking a bold tone with its latest eyeshadow line, featuring intense yet natural colours inspired by nature. The new Eyes to Kill Solo line will arrive in stores from April 7.
The most original feature of the Eyes to Kill Solo collection is its vast array of colours (24 in total) in three different textures: electric, satin and matte. When it comes to creating varying looks for different occasions, playing upon contrasts and personalizing one's eye makeup, the choices are endless.
"Women have always been afraid to wear bright colors on their eyes because they can't find them in the right texture," said Linda Cantello, international Giorgio Armani makeup artist. "In this new line, each shade is produced expressly in a wearable texture. It's the perfect accessory for the face."
While the eight electric shades are inspired by untamed nature and venomous creatures (with names like Green Viper, Scarab and Sapphire Spider), the 10 satin hues echo the more neutral nudes and browns seen in the latest Giorgio Armani runway shows (Beige Nudo, Ice, Dark Plum).
By far the most intense, the 10 matte shades are inspired by natural elements and minerals (Wood, Vulcano, Asphalt) and are perfect for creating a deep, mysterious eye.
The Eyes To Kill Solo collection by Giorgio Armani Beauty will go on sale April 7 at €36.50 (around $50) per individual color.
