NatWest UK Fashion & Textile Awards 2013 The NatWest UK Fashion & Textile Awards are back for 2014. The event, run by The UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) includes an awards gala in London on 22 May 2014 (see DIARY dates). The awards celebrate the UK fashion industry – from young design talent and influential brands, to companies manufacturing fashion and textiles. Emerging designers will compete for the UKFT Rise Award – previously won by Emma J. Shipley in 2013, while the Designer Business Award will recognise the creative and commercial success of the UK’s established designers, won last year by Christopher Raeburn. Reinforcing UKFT’s ongoing support for UK manufacturing, and following the recent launch of UKFT’s ‘Let’s Make it Here’ database, the CapitB UKFT Let’s Make it Here Award will attract the UK’s leading fashion manufacturers. New for 2014, the Brand Award will be split into four sub-categories, honouring British brands across menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and lingerie and beachwear. Entries are now open in the following categories: UKFT Rise Award; Accessories Award; Exporter Award; Textile Business Award; CapitB UKFT Let’s Make it Here Award; Designer Business Award; Brand Awards; Menswear; Womenswear; Childrenswear; Lingerie & Beachwear Award; Retailer Award; and NatWest UKFT Outstanding Achievement Award. The deadline for entries is 28 February 2014 and they can be submitted via ukftawards.org.
