Autumn/winter 2012

Autumn/winter 2012 The second day of the Milan Fashion Week saw many designers showing their autumn/winter collections, and Prada is one of them. Prada's collection didn’t disappoint at all , it included cropped pants worn either under a long skirt, with a short jacket, an empire-waisted long coat or sleeveless vest for a layered look.
While the highlight was the mosaic-like prints, the show opened with simpler, more muted looks.
It might sound simple but Prada never is and there’s always a bit of humour in the mix. So after a run of high collared black cashmere coats glittering with geometrically arranged stones, there were trouser suits of orange, blue, purple and black and white prints whose jackets were worn belted and long over the hips while the trousers were turned up.
A flashlight orange ensemble stole the spotlight, and a fuchsia version of the mosaic print, meant that in fact this collection was as much about the presence of colour as the lack of it.
