Prada Resort 2014
A new campaign film from Prada is always a treat, and the brand's latest video, for the Resort 2014 collection, doesn't let down. Set to the mysterious piano soundtrack of "Daydreaming" by Minneapolis band Dark Dark Dark, the short film
shows off the dark yet colorful aesthetic of Steven Meisel's latest Prada campaign, themed around "the twilight of an anti-paradise" according to the Italian luxury label.
As usual, creative director Miuccia Prada picked out some interesting girls to show off the line. The film features American model (and part-time X-ray technician) Amanda Murphy, German-born Anna Ewers (who's shooting up the popularity charts this year with her Brigitte Bardot meets Claudia Schiffer looks) and Columbia University-educated model and activist Cameron Russell.
The Resort video follows Prada's last cinematic adventure, a Wes Anderson-directed short film starring Jason Schwartzman as an American race-car driver in 1950s Italy, titled "Castello Cavalcanti."
