AW13 collection incorporates a mix of urban sports lux with sophisticated chic River Island has announced the continuation of its collaboration with popstar Rihanna, with the release of the AW13 collection. Following on from the SS13 Collection, the AW13 range further reflects Rihanna’s evolving style. The 80-piece collection incorporates a mix of urban sports lux with sophisticated chic. Metallic, tartan, camouflage, floral, stripes, denim leathers and other high shine fabrics like vinyl and wet look are used throughout, with styles including soft jersey maxis, leather bra tops, bomber jackets, camouflage over the knee boots, mesh dresses, beanies, cropped hoodies and underwear with a colour palette which balances the contrast of hard and soft. Embossed leather jackets and trousers, printed camo snakeskin leather skirts and boots make up the Limited Edition Collection of which only 100 of each item have been made. Prices range from £10 for the ‘Riri” Underwear to £200 for the embossed leather jackets. The autumn collection will be available from September 12 in selected River Island stores globally and online.
