Stella and a design from her latest collection Stella McCartney has been awarded an OBE from the Queen of England for her services to the fashion industry. The accolade tops off a very successful year for the London-based design star , having won Designer Brand and Designer of the Year at the 2012 British Fashion Awards. McCartney also worked with Adidas to create the British Olympic athletes' kits earlier this year. The Queen's New Year Honours List featured 70 others, including artist Tracey Emin and fashion businesswoman Caryn Franklin.
