Renowned fashion brand of the UAE, Zari O’ Breesam, will represent the country’s fashion industry at the Italian International Fashion Week 2013 in Rome.
The UAE fashion brand will symbolise the nation’s position as the key exporter of fashion in the Gulf region at the fashion event that will be held in the first week of July, said Nazek Al Sabbagh, an Emirati fashion designer and founder of Zari O\'Breesam brand, according to the Emirates News Agency.
The Italian International Fashion Week will highlight the UAE’s fashion culture through \"Fashion Arabia\" event. This event will be the first of its kind initiative to showcase Arab fashion industry on a global stage.
Fashion Arabia will attract leading Arab and European personalities and diplomatic figures, specialists, investors and major fashion companies.
Emirati designs have attracted greater interests in many European countries, and this is the reason for including the Emirati fashion component in this international show. It will be a good opportunity to meet many fashion and heritage lovers, said Al Sabbagh.
The fashion brand will showcase 12 designs from its latest collections. The show is expected to attract 1,300 visitors and followers from all around the world. It will also provide a platform for spot sales and a place for signing new deals with exhibitors from across the globe.
The UAE has become a new inspiration for fashion, and participation in such events sends a strong message to the world about the maturity of the fashion industry in the UAE, Al Sabbagh added.
The designs of Zari O\'Breesam boast excellent knowledge of the local culture and traditions of the Gulf region, with a blend of heritage and modernism.
