Elegant and simple
Valentino designers Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri brought an edgy twist with a romantic style to winter 2012 collection which was presented during Paris Fashion Week. They opened the show with sexy leather
capes and skirts. Structured silhouettes transformed into floor-length gowns in an autumn palette of black, nude, scarlet and ivory. Tailored pants and refined blouses dominated the presentation as did decorative patterns ranging from flowers to the more abstract.
Trends: Victorian-inspired lace, glittery gowns, refined leather, scalloped hems, and pronounced rounded shoulders.
If you want real romance, look no further than Valentino's collection.
