spring/summer 2013 Viktor & Rolf

spring/summer 2013 Viktor & Rolf For spring/summer 2013 Viktor & Rolf has taken inspiration from iconic Hollywood style for a modern-day wardrobe with slinky draperies, voluminous tulle, shimmer and shine. The silhouette is elongated, with synched waists and strong shoulders whilst light and luxurious fabrics to emphasise the versatility of the pieces.
A fresh take on the mirror is a reoccurring motif throughout the collection and a whimsical hand-drawn print on silk features a variation on the classic hand mirror.
Fabrics are feminine yet sharp, creating a graphic and flowing silhouette. Drapes in georgette, silk satin and silk lurex counterbalance the sharpness and plissé is shown in two widths.
Draped dresses are clean and modern in a technical Japanese satin whilst patchwork pieces are precisely constructed in a silk jacquard, lurex, satin and lace.
The colour palette ranges from black to white and nude to dusty pink, salmon, coral and metallic hues and standout accessories include necklaces, brooches, classic pumps and a range of mirrored handbags.
