Yves Saint Laurent's 'L'Homme Libre'

Yves Saint Laurent's 'L'Homme Libre' The French luxury brand has called upon Norwegian artist Gardar Eide Einarsson to revisit the packaging of three classic men's fragrances: L'Homme, La Nuit de L'Homme and L'Homme Libre. Known for his photographs, paintings and installations , all primarily in black and white, Gardar Eide Einarsson focused on the theme of "contemporary masculinity" to create this Art Edition of three Yves Saint Laurent fragrances for men.
The result is a lively and modern design, showing irregular parallel lines that blur together into a multi-faceted shape in the middle of the flacon, where the name of the fragrance and the brand are listed.
"I think these limited edition flacons can be considered as halfway between fragrances and works of art. For most men, it will just be their usual fragrance, but I think it could also have a secondary function, like a sort of miniature sculpture," the artist explains.
The colours of the flacons remain relatively neutral: black for La Nuit de L'Homme, beige and brown for L'Homme and blue for L'Homme Libre.
The Art Edition of the three fragrances will go on sale from March 3, priced at €79 (around $109) for 100ml.
