Sheikh Maktoum officially opens the event

Sheikh Maktoum officially opens the event Middle East's biggest travel and tourism event, Arabian Travel Market, opened on a high note on Monday at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. With the world's leading destinations, airlines and hotels present at the four-day extravaganza, the show pulled in an impressive crowd, as it celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, officially inaugurated Arabian Travel Market on Monday morning, in the presence of senior government officials, leaders of the regional and international travel industry as well as high-profile participants.
Cutting the ribbon to mark the opening, the sheikh then toured the exhibition with Mark Walsh, Portfolio Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions, organiser of Arabian Travel Market, and various dignitaries as the show got underway.
This year’s sell-out anniversary edition will welcome over 3,000 exhibitors from 87 countries with exhibition floor space covering more than 22,000 square metres. Prominent names in the world of hotels and resorts, including Movenpick, Accor, The Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, Rotana, Anantara and Fairmont will also be seen at the event.
