Several rooms at Sofitel Dubai Downtown will offer a view of Burj Khalifa The Sofitel Dubai Downtown will open its doors on May 1, just across from the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower. The interior design of this new five-star hotel, located in the heart of downtown Dubai, was inspired by French-Hungarian artist Victor Vasarely, leader of the Op Art movement.
This "little piece of France," as described by Accor Middle East managing director Christophe Landais, will include 350 spacious rooms and 76 suites, all decorated in an op art-inspired style with geometric shapes and patterns. In the bathrooms, guests will find beauty products from Lanvin, Hermès and other characteristically French brands.
In the Lobby Patisserie, guests are immersed in a 100 percent Parisian ambiance. The Green Spices and Red Grill restaurants, meanwhile, offer modern Thai cuisine as well as French-inspired offerings.
Guests can relax in the infinity pool or the "So Spa," or work out in the So Fit gym.
The new hotel also provides guests with an air-conditioned skywalk for exclusive access to the Dubai Mall, with its 1,200 shops across 800,000 square meters.
Several bars and lounges, as well as a 14-room meeting center, provide guests with plenty of spaces to relax or conduct business.
The Sofitel Dubai Downtown is the seventh hotel in the Sofitel network in the Middle East. Accor plans to open two additional Sofitel hotels in Jeddah and Riyadh in the near future.
Prices start at €147 (around $205) per night.
