Egypt has witnessed a 14.6% tourism increase
Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed that the number of tourists from all countries to Egypt in May reached one million against
the 800,000 figures from May 2012. The country has witnessed a 14.6 per cent increase.
CAPMAS said despite the notable increase last month, the number of tourists had not reached the figures of May 2010, where the country pulled in around 1.2 million visitors.
The agency added that East Europe drew in the most tourists, followed by West Europe and then the Middle East.
