Emirates Auction, a leading auction company in the Middle East, has announced opening the first auction today (Saturday) for selling distinguished car plate numbers registered in Sharjah, where some new distinguished car plate numbers will be displayed, and it is expected to attract a broad level of people interested in acquisition of distinguished car plate numbers in the UAE.
The company plans to put the plate carrying the number «1» of the third category of plate numbers of Sharjah along with some of the other distinguished car plates carrying numbers such as «12», «22» and «101» during the auction that is hosted in Al Jawaher Reception & Convention Centre at 4:00 this afternoon.
H.E. Abdulla Matar Al Mannai, Executive Director, Emirates Auction, said: "We express our pleasure in organizing an auction on car plates for the first time in Sharjah, and we welcome participants and interested people to enjoy the auction in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement."
Al Mannai explained the conditions for participation in the auction by saying, " anyone carrying a Emirates ID Card and deposit banking security check, will be able to participate in the auction, noting that, the registration is open at 10:00 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Al Jawaher Reception & Convention Centre for the participants of the citizens and residents to be able to complete the registration process, and get a special card entitling them to participate in the auction easily, the toll free number 80032 around the clock has been allocated to receive inquiries and provide information about the auction. Al Mannai assured that, the participant who will be awarded the auction can register his vehicle's plate number under his name or to abdicate it for any person or other entity after fulfilling procedures of vehicle registration requirements' and issuing the vehicle License.
In turn, Sharjah Police General Directorate confirmed that, the auction organization is an implementation of the decision of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, headed by Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, to approve the proposal made by Sharjah Police to the Council concerning organization of selling third category of plate numbers according to bidder's system.
It indicated that it would provide an opportunity for both citizens and residents alike wishing to have distinguished plate numbers off to get these numbers by specified conditions.
It is noteworthy that the Sharjah Police General Command has signed a mutual agreement with Emirates Auction for marketing, sale and registration of distinguished third category car plate numbers registered in Sharjah during a press conference held at the Sharjah Police General Headquarters.
