As part of its vision to support women and increase their confidence, leading Abu Dhabi-based salon Hairwaves by Charbel participated in the GhantootPink PoloEvent held on Friday,7th November 2014 at Ghantoot Racing and PoloClub.
Attended by more than 5000 person, Hairwaves by Charbel brought a team of professionals who provided manicure services at the event for free and presented cosmetic products that support the breast cancer cause.
Hairwaves by Charbel has also announced a new initiative to further support breast cancer awareness. Guests at Hairwaves by Charbel ladies’ salon who will present a breast cancer screening receipt from one of the hospitals accredited withthe Health Authority will get a complimentary make-up session.
“Our initiative this year comes along with our belief to support and stand with every woman, and cherish the sacrifices she takes everyday. Beauty sector has a major role in supporting the campaign and related entities should take its part,” says Charbel Doumit, master stylist and owner of Hairwaves by Charbel.
Launched in 2010 and an initial attendance of more than 3,000 spectators, the event is held under the patronage of GhantootRacing and Polo Club Chairman, HH Sheikh Falah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as a way of increasing breast cancer awareness in the UAE.
Polo enthusiasts from across the nation has converged at the UAE’s Royal Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club and witnessed the action at the main event, as the ADCB polo team lock horns with the Maserati polo team in an all out battle for awareness first, and competition second.
The iconic breast cancer awareness drive held every year has garnered a favorable response from the UAE population since its inception, due to its roster of fun activities and competitions prior to the exhibition polo match that promises entertainment for all age groups.
Earlier last week,Hairwaves by Charbel sponsored the launch of the revolutionary website avenue99downtown.com in an event held at the Shangri-La Abu Dhabi and attended by VIPs. It was organized by Brands and Beyond.
