Abnet Haskia has sparked controversy with her comments

Abnet Haskia has sparked controversy with her comments An Israeli-Arab woman has called on fellow women across the Arab world to stop falsely accusing Jewish men of rape, saying it is “Arab Muslim men who are raping you.” Commenting on a Facebook page about the sexual harassment of female activists in Egypt, aspiring politician Anet Haskia, said Palestinian women should take a look at other countries in the region and be grateful at how “humane” their Jewish “enemies” really are.
\"We are talking about the rape of Arab women in Egypt and other Arab states, and you still try to make a connection to Israel? Jewish men do not rape Arab women and girls! It is Arab Muslim men who are raping you, so focus this campaign on them and leave Israel alone,\" wrote Haskia.
The mother of three also hit out at Hamas, the organisation that currently controls the Gaza Strip, calling it a terrorist organisation that “will never hold democratic elections like they do in Israel.”
\"If I was living in Gaza, I would have no rights as a woman under Hamas. And you can’t expect anything different—Hamas is a terror organisation, they treat people like animals with no regard to human life,” said Haskia in interview with Israel Today.
A long standing activist for peace between Jews and Muslim’s in Israel, Haskia is hoping to get elected into the country’s Knesset for her outspoken views which she says are not represented by existing Arab politicians.
“I want to be part of Israeli politics some day and make a change by representing my people politically. There are many people who are too scared to speak up, who love Israel like I do and have done well here. I want to be their voice,” she said.
