Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy (AIRA) Mohie el Din Afifi left here on Thursday after he participated in an international conference titled "Religions against Terrorism".

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa led an Egyptian delegation to the conference, which wrapped up its activities in Astana on Wednesday.

In his word at the conference, Afifi asserted Islam's rejection of all forms of violence and extremism.
