Foreign minister Sameh shoukry

Egyptian Ambassador here Badr Abdel Ati said that the recent visit by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, was of great importance as it came after last year successful visit by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Berlin.

In exclusive statements to MENA, Abdel Ati underlined that it is the first time for an Egyptian president to meet the German chancellor for four times in one year.

He further underscored that the joint relations are getting deeper on the political, economic, security and military levels, adding that the timing of the minister's visit was very important as it also came after Egypt achieved the non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council.

The ambassador reiterated that Germany appreciates Egypt as a cornerstone of security and stability in the Middle East region and the on the international level.
