Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedki Sobhi Sunday approved appointing Colonel Tamer Mohammed Mahmoud as a Military Spokesman as of January 1, 2017.
Colonel Mahmoud succeeds Brg. Mohamed Samir whose tenure started in July 2014.
The newly-appointed spokesman graduated from the Egyptian Military Academy in 1994 and was among the 88th batch of the prestigious academy.
Besides obtaining numerous military certificated and awards, Colonel Mahmoud served as a United Nations Military Observer (UNMO) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
