Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Expatriates Ambassador Hisham el Naqeeb left here on Monday embarking on a four-day tour that will take him to Morocco and Tunisia.
In pre-departure statements, Naqeeb said his tour comes upon directives from Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to bolster interaction with Egyptian expatriates in order to maintain their rights, improve their conditions and settle their problems.
During his tour, Nageeb will chair the 3rd session of the joint Egyptian-Moroccan Consular Committee as well as the 12th session of the joint Egyptian-Tunisian Consular Committee.
Nageeb also underlined the importance of regular convocation of such committees to coordinate stances as regards the affairs of Egyptians, the joint trade interests as well as upgrading the consular work.
The Egyptian diplomat is accompanied by a delegation including representatives from various bodies concerned with the expatriates affairs especially the interior and justice ministries as well as social solidarity and representatives from "Long Live Egypt" fund.
He said the "Long Live Egypt" representative participation in such delegation comes in response to demands by several embassies and consulates abroad as members of the Egyptian communities are willing to take part in Egypt's march of national development.
