Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Hisham el Naqib left for Kuwait on Monday leading Egypt's delegation to the third session of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti consular committee, due to start on Tuesday.
In statements, Naqib said that the convocation of the committee in Kuwait marks the distinguished ties between the two countries and in implementation of the recommendations of the 11th session of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Committee that was held in Cairo on February 14-16.
He underlined the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries, a matter that is reflected in the large number of Egyptian workers in Kuwait.
The Egyptian community in Kuwait is the second largest community in the Arab world, he noted.
Naqib is accompanied by representatives of several ministries, governmental bodies concerned with conditions of Egyptian expatriates and the Tahya Misr or "Long Live Egypt" fund to shore up Egypt's economy.
