Cairo - Arab Today
The Arab Water Council (AWC) President and former water resources and irrigation minister Mahmoud Abu Zeid called for holding an Arab summit to probe water affairs in the Arab world.
This remark came during Abu Zeid's presentation at the opening session of the eighth round of the Arab Water Ministerial Council (AWMC) held on Wednesday at the Arab League general secretariat headquarters.
He said that he will submit a memorandum in that regard to the AWMC.
Meanwhile, the activities of the AWMC kicked off Wednesday under Sudan. The council probed 23 articles tackling different issues of water and sustainable development in that sector.
