Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb traveled late Thursday to Saudi Arabia to take part in an international conference on combating extremism organized by the Muslim World League.
The three-day event, to start Sunday, will discuss the social, cultural and economic reasons behind violent ideologies as well as ways of preventing more people to adopt extremist ideology.
