Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil attended has visited Merida city in Mexico, where he attended a lunch banquet gathering the Lebanese Diaspora.


In a word delivered on the occasion, Bassil called the Lebanese expatriates to visit Lebanon and communicate with its people, revealing that an honorary consul will be appointed in Merida.


Bassil headed next to Jamaica where he also met with crowds of Lebanese expats.


"We will soon appoint an honorary consul for in Jamaica and we hope to meet with you during the Diaspora Energy conference that shall be held in Beirut in May," Bassil said.


He also urged the Lebanese Diaspora to partake in the upcoming legislative elections
