EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton arrived in Cairo on Saturday.
Ashton is scheduled to take part in the Gaza reconstruction conference on Sunday.
She will also meet with Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri and other senior officials to discuss regional issues and EU relations with Egypt.
The current visit is the last one for Ashton to Egypt as the EU foreign policy chief.
